OBS GM Trucks And More Can Now Install Holley Sniper EFI 340 and 525 Fuel Pump Modules!

All you had to do was go to Holley’s LSFest in Bowling Green to see just how popular the 1988 to 1998 GM C/K “OBS” trucks are right now. They were everywhere out there, with everything from stock LS engines swapped into them, all the way up to twin-turbo combos making 1,000 horsepower or more. Thanks to the fine folks at Holley you can now get these trucks, along with their Ford counterparts, capable of supporting big power while running the factory fuel tank.

Here is all the info from Holley:

This direct-fit fuel pump module will drop directly into any 1988-1998 GM C/K Series trucks and 1990-1997 Ford Truck EFI fuel tanks. The module has been designed with a 340 LPH (liters per hour) Sniper fuel pump that will support up to 700 EFI or 900 carbureted horsepower (HP Rating @ 60 PSI at 13.5 Volts / 10.4 AMP draw).

We also have a 525 LPH module for the 1988-1998 GM C/K Trucks that supports up to 1200 EFI or 1450 carbureted horsepower (@ 60 PSI at 13.5 Volts / 16.9 AMP draw).

The flange has a 6AN O-ring outlet and return port making the plumbing connections easy. The kit includes the assembled module, a new filter sock, flange O-ring, and the lock ring to complete your installation into your stock fuel tank. The 6061-T6 module flange has been anodized in a bright dip black finish that not only looks great but will also protect from undercar corrosion.

First Look at The New Fun-Haver Ultra4 4400 Ford Broncos! Vaughn Gittin Jr. And Loren Healy Are Stoked!

When Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Loren Healy are this excited about their new rides, you know they must be really cool. And with all the hype surrounding the new Bronco from Ford, it comes as no surprise that these two would be making the most of their incredible new race versions. Nobody is going to try to proclaim these are modified new Broncos, but they sure do have the right bodies on them and their heritage certainly comes from all the Ford Bronco race trucks of the past. Remember, there have been a lot of iconic Broncos in history and they are one of the reasons Ford wanted to bring back the iconic model.

I haven’t driven a new Bronco, but what I’m hearing is good things from previous Bronco fans and converts alike. Below is the description from the video by Vaughn and his team. Let us know what you think!

Here is the video description:

Hard saying goodbye to the OG Brocky, but our new #Ultra4Racing Ford Bronco’s are absolutely incredible!! So much knowledge and passion went into creating the perfect Broncos for Loren Healy, my Fun-Haver Off-Road teammate, and myself! I can not wait for the first race in these! #FordBronco

Holley Classic Trucks Replacement Fenders For 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC GMT400 Trucks

Holley Classic Trucks Replacement Fenders For 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC GMT400 Trucks

OBS Truck owners rejoice! If you have a project going together right now, then you are going to be thrilled to know that you don’t have to beat your original fenders into submission enough to throw some Bondo on them. Instead, you can start with high-quality replacement front fenders so that you can start with new steel. We approve because we would much rather be working with new metal than beating on old stuff or trying to repair rust in a beat-up old panel.

And even if you aren’t restoring a truck, but are building one custom, it is so nice to be working with clean metal when modifying things. Want to build steel fender flares for your truck? Or a wide body kit? Need to make the wheel wells larger for big wheels and tires? Whatever the reason for modifying your stock fenders it is always nice to start a fabrication project with fresh new metal.

Here is all the information from Holley Classic Trucks, including links to the fenders.

If you’re in the process of restoring or repairing your OBS truck, you may find yourself looking at a wrinkled or rusted-out fender. Rather than costly and time-consuming body repair, why not replace it with a brand-new high-quality fender from Holley Classic Trucks? These fenders are made for the 1988-1998 Chevrolet and GMC C/K trucks. They are manufactured with precise tooling resulting in excellent looks and fitment. They are EDP coated to provide corrosion protection.

Tough and Cheap: Jeep Now Offering Gorilla Glass Windshield Upgrade For Less Than $100!

Tough and Cheap: Jeep Now Offering Gorilla Glass Windshield Upgrade For Less Than $100!

(By Tom Lohnes) – Do you have a spare $95 and are frustrated that your jeep Wrangler’s windshield keeps breaking? Well, Jeep has the solution for you, and its OEM.

Using the famed Gorilla Glass, you can now get a much stronger windshield on your Jeep. This will help off-roaders and street-only drivers alike, because stronger is better. Off-road, some high-speed bits may involve pebbles and small rocks flying into your windscreen, either chipping or outright breaking it. On the street, similar things happen, just from other car’s tires, not wind.

For less than $100, I would say this option is worth the money, because it involves less damage to the windshield not only when you buy it, but in the future as well. It’s a good peace-of-mind thing that won’t expire like the car’s warranty.

So, this new option will be available on all 2022-model Wranglers and even the gladiator pickup truck. Whether you have the hardcore Gladiator Rubicon with the optional diesel engine, or the PHEV Wrangler 4xe in the most street-focused High Altitude trim, Jeep has you covered.

Making History: Watch This Incredibly Brilliant And Simple 1900s Ratcheting Wrench Get Made From Scratch – Awesome Skills

We always love the work that Mr Hand Tool Rescue does. Whether he is working on a Bridgeport, making an apple peeler new again, or getting down an dirty fo fix an anvil, this guy is fun to watch. The man has great mechanical, fabrication, and creative skills that allows him to see parts that are not there and then make them lots of times to complete a job. But what about making the whole job from scratch? That’s the deal here as he takes patent drawings from about 110+ years ago and uses to them to create the thing in the drawings, a very basic and simple ratcheting wrench.

As he is quick to point out, this is not the first ratcheting wrench ever developed, those date from deep into the 1800s but this is one of the most smart and simple designs we have ever seen. It has exactly three parts. Those three parts are not as easy as they sound though and you will watch Mr Hand Tool Rescue employ his fabrication and machining skills here in ways we have never seen him lean on them before.

We think you will dig this video for the cool result and the methods to get there!

It is more compact than the TKO so it fits better in stuff like roadsters and other applications where room is tight.

McLeod is the spot where you can get your hands on one of these bad boys and sling it into your car. They can also get you hooked with the right clutch for your application along with other stuff you’ll need to help move the swap process along. Check them out right after you check out the story below.

TKX FTW!

TREMEC Releases New TKX 5-Speed RWD Transmission- Available through McLeod Racing

(ANAHEIM, CA) TREMEC releases their new compact 5-speed transmission called the TKX. The TKX is perfect for a restoration or an upgrade for a classic muscle car, 1930s-era roadster coupe or any application where space is an issue. The compact design means little if any tunnel modifications in most applications.

The TKX took a forward-looking approach to finding the best and most efficient solution for a 5-speed RWD manual transmission. The end result is superior shift-ability with smooth shifts at high RPMS through the use of multi-cone synchronizers and hybrid synchronizer rings. At the same time, noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance is optimized with a gear layout to best control stress levels, while providing structural stiffness with a ribbed, 3-piece aluminum housing. Durability is further optimized with oversized gear widths, gaskets at all flanges, and caged needle bearings in all gear positions.

“We listened to our customers, combined their suggestions with our OEM technology and strengthened our aftermarket line up with the addition of the TKX,” says Mike Kidd, aftermarket business unit manager of TREMEC.

The TKX has 600 lb.-ft of torque capacity and is capable of engines speeds of 8,000 RPMS with shifts at 7,500 RPMS. The transmission is designed for multiple applications with three shifter locations. It is compact, end-loaded design provides clearance in most transmission tunnels without floor modifications.

“TREMEC listened to its customers and knew they needed a more compact version of their incredibly popular TKO ,” says McLeod President, Paul Lee. “The TKX by TREMEC allows McLeod to offer another option for customers looking to upgrade their current manual car or go from automatic to manual with less work .”

The TKX transmission is available to order through McLeod Racing. As the drivetrain market’s one-stop-shop, McLeod Racing has a complete line up of clutches, flywheels, crossmembers, and anything else to accompany the installation of the new TREMEC transmission.
